Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools (Kazakhstan) Kazakhstan

Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools are interested in meeting:

  • Suppliers of digital course materials for all science subjects, includng computer science
  • Software companies developing online resources and MLE provision
  • Developers working on platforms that would support blended learning

They have several on-going projects such as:

  • Developing MLE provision and the creation of blended learning opportunities

  • Online professional development
The distances between schools in the network create significant problems in the organisation of professional development.  Online learning and seminars are used to overcome this and are being continually developed
  • The NIS project aims to develop the quality of education across the whole of Kazakstan.
Initially practice and pedagogy will be developed in the twenty NIS schools currently operating and then this will be disseminated across the whole of the State system.
  • NIS schools are at the fore-front in developing the use of information technology and are the test-bed for IT education resources nationwide. There are significant opportunities for high value contacts.
